Ethics
Jane Harrison Jewellery is continuing to make changes to become more sustainable. We are proud that our jewellery is designed and made in Scotland.
Each piece is handmade in our Glasgow studio, using both traditional and contemporary techniques.
We aim to source responsibly and work with suppliers who share our values.
We use recycled metal where we can and can offer fair-trade alternatives. To minimise waste we recycle and reuse all our scrap metal.
We are involved in every stage of our making process and work closely with our trusted suppliers. There are some processes which require specialist equipment such as lost wax casting which is send to our suppliers who we have built good relationships with and trust to handle our designs. Most of which are based in Scotland.
We source our stones from reputable dealers but we continue to look for alternatives who share our values.
Lab grown diamonds are a more sustainable and ethical alternative to natural diamonds. They are certificated the same way as natural diamonds. Jane Harrison Jewellery is hoping to only use lab grown diamonds as standard going forward.
We are more than happy to remodel beloved heirloom pieces resetting reclaimed stones and reworking the metal. This is a great way to be more sustainable.
All our work is hallmarked in Edinburgh Assay Office.
